What an absolute wonderful surprise. This new show, All or Nothing - Egypt, launched on July 27, 2026, and is available to stream on Viki.[1] This is a reality travel/variety show featuring six Korean idols on a trip to Egypt. The show covers a 7-day, 6-night trip across Egypt, including visits to Cairo, Luxor, and Hurghada. This combines my love of مصر (misr) with my love of K-dramas and K-pop.💜 As an Egyptologist I was so pleased to see Korea create a show in Egypt.
The idols include Leeteuk, Shindong of Super Junior, DAWN (Kim Hyo-jong), Kim Yohan of WEi, Johnny (Seo Young-ho), and Park Jisung of NCT. They vary in age, the eldest being born in 1983 and the youngest in 2002! Their 20-year age gap should make for an interesting adventure.

I watched the first episode last night and the premise is for the idols to win at missions or games to get great perks (best food, accommodation, etc.). They will end up being either ‘princes’ or ‘paupers’. The show reminded me of a mix between BTS’ Bon Voyage and Run BTS series. The first episode opens at the Pyramids in Giza[2] and the mission was ‘Pharaoh’s Table’. I won’t share any spoilers, but it was quite funny! Shindong of course has lots of previous experience on variety shows and was often a host on Men on a Mission, which I really enjoyed.
I’m particularly excited to see where they go in Luxor, as I’m heading back there next month (August) to visit friends and family. If you are a fan of Egypt or of K-Pop this show has lots to offer. I can’t wait to watch the rest of the episodes!
