City Nature Challenge 2025

Calgary, Alberta

I have participated in the CNC challenge for the past five years. I’m certainly not the one providing the most observations (on iNaturalist), but I enjoy getting outside, and it pushes me to share what I’ve seen.

This year I added 17 observations (April 25-28).[1]

There are always many more things I see that don’t always make it into the count (for various reasons). I thought I would share some of them here.
