Midsummer’s Midsummer Update
⛵ If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Every time Drew returns to Canada he has to worry about the ship in Kenya. This past year we saw a ferry hit the schooner and take out guard rails, missing wood for the deck, items stolen from the ship when he’s away (even though he paid watchmen for security), and then Drew fell through some rotten stairs and had a good portion of his knee taken off. He went to hospital in Kenya, but ended up with a severe infection, and had to fly back to Canada to get proper medical care.🤕
However, on the upside, the ship is almost seaworthy and Drew hopes to head to the Mediterranean in the fall, to complete repairs. The anchor winch needs fixing/replacing and…
