Swim Into the Sun

BTS

What a fabulous idea Noodle Goose had to host a BTS themed party on the 3-masted schooner, Kajama, on August 21st, on Lake Ontario.

The party name Swim Into the Sun, played on the hit single ‘SWIM’ and the wonderful love ballad BTS sings to ARMY ‘Into the Sun’. It was an fantastic night full of BTS’ music, a photobooth, Korean food by Comma, and an escape room based on ‘Magic Shop’. As a long-time ARMY, I can tell you the only thing that would have made this event any better is if BTS showed up themselves!

Photo ops included Gengar, Psyduck and cutouts of our 7 idols.

The food was incredible, Comma centred the food around BTS member’s favourites. And honestly, the kimchi in particular was amazing, much better than any I’ve ever made. Whenever I come back to Toronto I will make a point of going to Comma for dinner!

Even though I went solo to this event, I met so many wonderful ARMYs and had a spectacular time. I brought my ‘Namjooning’ notebook and asked ARMY to sign it. I gave out some Toronto/Arirang bookmarks I made in exchange. Some of the quotes follow:

BTS was my window into becoming better and believing in a better world. They also allowed me to meet armys and be part of something beautiful and powerful.
— Bren (Cancun, Mexico)

Dear Army and BTS, Thank you so much for having me here in TO. I flew all the way from Malaysia to have fun with ARMY around the world. Terima Kasih.
— Ming (Malaysia)

Army & BTS, you have been an absolute phenomenon! Here in Toronto, you have taken over! We are all falling in love with you, your music, your vibe! It is contagious! You are ALWAYS welcome back!
— Giovanni - August 21, 2026 - Videographer (Toronto)

This notebook is one-of-a-kind that had over 10 pages of quotes by the end of the night. It will stay as a part of my cherished memories from this weekend. I had planned to bring the book to the concert to get signatures, but the weather was so wet I thought it would get ruined. Thanks to all the ARMYs who signed it!

The event ended with every participant getting a swag bag. I promise to do a write-up about Karen Mak from NoodleGoose whose brainchild this event was, when I return to Canada from Egypt in mid-September. Thank you Karen for a great night!!

It was a truly unforgettable evening that can only enhance the memories of the BTS concert that was to come!💜

If you attended but didn’t get to sign my book, feel free to leave a note in the comments below. 보라해!
