Christmas Light Show

Thanks to Loreen for sharing her holiday spirit from last year’s visit to see the Christmas lights!

One Sunday evening after hearing mass, we decided to head over to Spruce Meadows. For the second year we’re back for their Christmas Lights drive-through display, our first time actually walking around the exhibit! 🎄✨

We relied on our phone’s navigation device to take us to the place, and voila, the first turn we made led us to an abandoned construction parking lot, so typical of us. A little pro tip --don’t ever make me anybody’s navigator. Eventually we just went back to the main road and took the second turn we saw which was fortunately correct this time. Being total newbies, we spent a solid 20 minutes searching for parking, but guess what? We ended up parking just outside the gates of the subdivision as we exited, following other cars who were probably just as lost as us!🤣

So, we bundled up and walked back to the light show, ready to explore alongside families with baby strollers and toddlers running all over.

Once we got in, we were blown away by the stunning Christmas shops and the lights as well as the Santa Clauses representing different countries from around the world. It was super magical and festive, it definitely got us in the holiday spirit! 🌏🎅But, we have to admit, the cold was intense even with fire pits scattered all over—we lasted less than an hour before we had to call it quits. ❄️

Being a mom of 3 and a family of 5 it was such an affordable and fun way to enjoy the season since the admission was FREE! 👏 We’ll definitely be back next year, hopefully a little better at finding parking! 🚗
