(Some more of) My Favourite Museums
This post is in honour of ICOM (International Council of Museums) International Museum Day. The theme for 2026 is ‘Museums Uniting a Divided World’.
With all my travels and places of work, I’ve been extraordinarily fortunate to have visited some really amazing museums over the years. I would like to share my thoughts on four more of my favourites.[1]
Graeco-Roman Museum, Alexandria, Egypt [2]
Ptolemaic pottery vessels
Royal Tyrell Museum, Alberta, Canada [3]
Brachylophosaurus canadensis, Late Cretaceous (77 million years), Milk River, Alberta
Shanghai Museum, China [4]
MacBride Museum of Yukon History, Whitehorse, Canada
Gold Rush historical photographs
