Stand Up for Justice
March 1, 2026 - I was at a protest in front of City Hall in Calgary to call out the illegal war perpetrated on Iran by the war criminal (Israel’s Netanyahu)[1] and the rapist (America’s Trump).[2] While a couple of hundred people showed up, I was sad that there weren’t more. Has Canada become so apathetic that it is OK for the US and Israel to terrorize a country by targeting a girl’s school (over 150 children were murdered). Trump stated they have the capacity to pinpoint the Ayatollah - so why was a school targeted? The only reasonable explanation is they did this to cause fear and anger in the Iranian people. To punish them.
One of the protestor’s had this great sign with a quote by Desmond Tutu.[3]
“If you are neutral on situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”
I also want to call out the Canadian Prime Minister - who doesn’t speak for me or the majority of Canadians who disagree - for supporting the US. “Canada supports the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent its regime from further threatening international peace and security.”[4] Not only is PM Carney propping up the actions of this rapist and war criminal - he has put Canadian lives at stake. He has literally painted a target on every Canadian in the Middle East.
Trump doesn’t care about Iranian women and children (otherwise why would he murder them). Trump is after OIL.
Regarding Iran’s reaction to counter-bomb US bases around the Gulf, my feelings are this: If those countries wanted to keep American bases on their soil, then they should expect to get burned. If you play with fire…
I truly hope that Middle Eastern countries hosting Americans will decide to reject America (and Israel) and remove the Americans from your land. Why would you want to be in bed with a rapist? It’s not a good look!
To my fellow Canadians - please get engaged/enraged. Trump went after Venezuela for oil, then Iran for oil. Who else has oil and critical minerals? Canada. If you think we are off the menu then I recommend you start paying closer attention.
