Yunnan II - Kunming

Incredible architecture of the Kunming Train Station

We took the high-speed train from Guiyang (Guizhou) to Kunming (Yunnan). There are so many tunnels through this mountainous region so you only catch glimpses of the countryside. It is a fairly quick ride though as I noted that we reached speeds of up to 276 km/hr, and an elevation of 2000 m. It had been a hectic week so the guides chose to give us a slow day in Kunming (after the 3 hour train ride) to rest up. We enjoyed an excellent meal and a local flower cake, then had some free time to walk around, and finished the day with more tea tastings/training back at the hotel.
