Yunnan IV- Chama Night Market
Ancient Tea Horse Road Relic Park - sculpture
The first evening we arrived, we wandered around the Ancient Tea Horse Road Relic Park,[1] and ChaMa Ancient City, watched locals dancing and enjoyed the festive spirit, ate dinner and then went to look for some pottery.
Tea Tasting
While looking for pottery (which I will highlight in another post), we were welcomed to try some wonderful tea from a local producer and owner of this amazing tea shop. I haven’t tried much Sheng or Shou Pu’er before but chose to drink what was put before me (I was raised to be polite). I was very surprised when the owner broke out “something special from his personal stash”. An aged Shou Pu’er from an ancient tree - drinking this was when I think I found a way to appreciate aged tea. Our guide, Zhen Lu told me I have really expensive taste. 😂
This place is truly magical! I really hope I get a chance to return!
